Experience
My passion for teaching began when I was a young child and grew from there. This is my 14th year of teaching. I have taught K, 1st, 3rd, and 5th grades. Reading is my specialty. I love being able to see that spark when a child is learning to read, comprehending what they've read for the first time, and/or understanding a specific skill/concept they have been struggling with for a while. I also love helping children develop a love of reading and exploring a whole new world in reading. Helping just one child with this is an indescribable feeling. Having taught in Texas for the last 10.5 years, I'm very knowledgeable with the STAAR test and have helped many children succeed in making great progress and passing this test with a variety of test taking skills and strategies.
