I am a sophomore at the University of Houston pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Teaching and Learning with a specialty (and teaching certification) in Mathematics grades 4-8. In my junior and senior year of high school, I attended a residential early college where I earned 60+ credit hours from Lamar University. At my early college, I was named one of the salutatorians of my class and also left Lamar University with a 3.96 GPA.
Experience
At my time at Lamar University, I was given the privilege to be a trained university tutor for undergraduates. The classes I specialized in were College Algebra, Trigonometry, Statistics, General Chemistry I & II, and Spanish I & II. The university also gave me the freedom to tutor by walk-in and by weekly appointments, so I am available for need-based sessions as well as weekly sessions. I am also an experienced student teacher, and love to teach students of all grades and fields of interest.

Creative Activities - My inner teacher channels all things creative and DIY. I excel at making study tools for my students such as posters, colored study guides, and foldable if the student needs them. I am also willing to create lesson plans for the parents who are interested in what their child will be tutored on and to create organized study materials for the students. Sports/Outdoor Activities - I was a student athlete (Volleyball & Track/Field) in high school so I understand the difficulty balancing school and sports. To help the students with their learning, I am willing to schedule extra days during test weeks by my availability if need be AND also willing to schedule the tutoring days accordingly with tournaments, games, or practices. Passion for People - I love to maintain constant relationships with my students and parents even after our time working together. If your student ever needs help with a homework problem, he or she can always texts me or email me the question and I will try my very best to explain the problem with the tools I have available to me. I believe a teacher should most importantly be their student's biggest supporter, so I am willing to do whatever needs to be done in order to ensure my student's success.
