Experience
My academic background includes two degrees from Ave Maria University. I earned bachelor's degrees in Theology and Philosophy. I also earned a minor in Literature. My master's is in Theology. Currently, I am at Duquesne University where I am pursuing a doctorate in Systematic Theology. As you can tell, I have invested a lot of my time in the Humanities. What is not obvious, though, is my love of Math. I have provided tutoring for children who are homeschooled. My tutoring ability covers several subjects such as Elementary Math, Middle School Math, Pre-Calculus, Trig, College Algebra, and Religious Studies. I can also help with prepping for tests like the GRE and SAT. I would say that my best strengths are Algebra 1 and 2, and Geometry. My tutoring philosophy is centered around the belief that a student must learn to think critically so that they have the ability to solve problems. Being spoon fed information does not help them in the long term. I live in Spring, Texas. I like to play chess, read, go running, and listen to music. In addition, I like coffee!
